The New York Post has reported that Shakira is taking signs of Madonna and Jay-Z. She will be recording her music through Live Nation.
The mega concert is having this project at $60 million with Sony to release the next three albums of Colombian star. And Live Nation will share small amount of profit in recording music.
The companies will share the sales with Sony as distributor; some insiders familiar with the deal attach the number at $60 million, and others will get less than that
In 2008 Shakira left the Sony’s epic label to sign a deal of 10 years with Live Nation at $70 million and $100 million.
Last year a $30 million deal was done by Live Nation’s chief executive Michael Rapino with Universal Music Group to record music and for the distribution of Madonna’s new album.
Shakira released her latest music “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Addicted to you” in April. For this she was awarded four trophies at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami.
The categories of the awards were Song Artist of the Year, Female; Albums Artist of the Year, Female; Latin Pop Songs Artist of the Year, Solo; and Social Artist of the Year.
