The Colombian pop star Shakira is going to cement her name before receiving the award of “Person of the year” at Latin Grammys ceremony2011 on 8th Nov. Latinas Christina Aguilera and Penélope Cruz will also join her in the walk of Fame.
A detailed biography of pop star Shakira was posted by the Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce on their website. That includes her background information and her new triumph being chosen by President Barack Obama.
It is also posted that Shakira is the highest selling Colombian artist of all times.
The ceremony is going too held at W Hollywood Hotel and Vine Corner in the Hollywood. She also received an award from Havard University. This award was presented at the Annual Cultural Rythyms having Drew Faust’s signature. The director of the University told that the students and faculty members are honored to present the program. She is greatly honored for her humanitarian efforts through her foundation worldwide.
In Las Vegas the event is organized where Shakira will become the youngest person at Person of the Year event
She has followed the footsteps of famous Latinos like Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin and Placido Domingo in receiving this honor in past years.
